Job Description;



Aircraft Propeller Repair Station Service Manager
Location, Deland, Florida


Reports to: Company Vice President/General Manager

MT-Propeller is one of the largest manufactures of aircraft propellers worldwide, having over twenty thousand composite propellers in the field, all the while continuing to manufacture propellers for aviation market place, for both turbine and reciprocating engines. The company is privately owned, located in Straubing, Germany, with over two hundred and fifteen employees located in two locations.

MT-Propeller USA Inc. is a company owned FAA approved repair station and distribution facility, located in Deland Florida. Employing fourteen mechanics and auxiliary personnel for the purpose of maintaining, servicing and selling all MT-Propeller products exclusively.

As the overall business in the MT-Propeller has continued to grow, there is a current need for an individual to perform the duties of a Service Manager.



Responsibilities;

  • Assist and support, the Vice President, General Manager of MT-Propeller USA Inc.as well as senior management personnel of the manufacturing facility located in Straubing Germany.
  • Perform as a liaison between the owner/operators of MT-Propellers, as well as FBO operators, MT Distributors and Representatives, located in the USA as well as around the world, providing all parties and their MT products, with the best in customer care.
  • Provide for the compliance of all FAA part 145, requirements for the operation of the Repair Station.
  • Provide oversight and maintenance scheduling of all work activates in the Repair Station facility.
  • Prepare and maintain work order files for all work moving through the Repair Station.
  • Provide for the repetitive training for all shop personnel, including, maintaining the permanent training records of the individual employees.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Vice President/ General Manager.

Candidate should have;

  • Unquestionable ethics.
  • Ability to work with customer who are dependent on the candidate for an honest and forthright analysis of their individual needs, and circumstances.
  • an in depth knowledge of the MT-Propeller, product line. (Repair Station provides service for the MT-Propeller only.)
  • A minimum of five year’ experience as a manager in an aircraft repair facility.
  • The ability to lead a diversified group of experienced mechanics.
  • Be able to pass blood alcohol and drug testing.

Candidate advantages;

  • Have a current A&P or IA Certificate
  • Have a current level one and Level two NDT approval (Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant).
  • Have a minimum of a Current Private Pilot License.


Salary and Benefits;

Salary is dependent upon previous experience.
